love 9-1-1 site & design documentation
project proposal
In researching this subject for project proposal, I have not really seen a comprehensive site that includes many facets, only ones that have select topics and focus on those. My goal, in creating either the breakup survival or relationship survival sites, would be to provide a place that can be visited to retrive a nearly comprehensive (as much as possible) listing of topics that will leave the viewer with a wealth of information and the feeling that their decision to visit my site was worthwhile. I would also like to create a sense of "up to datedness" so that people return (like a blog, or suggestion on the site that it is updated often.)

target audience / site need
1. My target audience will be men and women between the ages of 18 and 50.
2. Examples of site need (my potential audience): sites with smilar traits:
Devotionals:
be grateful for your relationship
enriching your relationship
spiritual relationships: finding your true partner
Breakup Survival:
Top ten ways to survive a breakup without breaking down
how your friends can help you survive a breakup
for women: wikihow answers how to survive a breakup
the breakup blog (for men)
Maintain a great relationship:
relieve tension
Hang onto your own identity
Long distance relationships
various topics (blogspot)
Hang onto a relationship (Advice for men)
2. Another reason there is a need for a site like this? Because psychology sites do NOT focus on design (and therefore may deter visitors):
Scary site #1
scary site #2 (Trainwreck!)
scary site #3
site architecture
Main navigation will be along the top of the site, with the subnav/secondary navigation along the bottom. There will be additional "go to" areas on the site as well to access additional information that is updated on a more regular basis to encourage visitors to return. Main site content area will have a fixed scrolling area to avoid an extra long site overall.

user persona

Name: Ashleigh
Age: 27
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Hobbies: Running, Soccer, Movies
Occupation: Data Analyst
Bio: Ashleigh is a busy and successful business woman . However, she doesn't seem to have very much luck in the relationshp department. She typically ends up with emotionally unavailable men and often finds herself assuming guilt for the troubles she has in her dating life, even though she isn't at fault. She could really benefit from a website that offers guidance and support in both good and bad relationship circumstances!

google analytics
i have installed google analytics and gotten the account in place for when the site is actually launched. i will update this section when i have results.
future ambitions
i would like to add a blog and/or and RSS feed when I have found a way to integrate Wordpress to my level of satisfaction within my site. Or better yet, when I figure out how to program my own!
